Dubbing in 1st of Batxillerat

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aNcOcf336k&list=UUjgz0AohXbizhsMR8CjuWkA&feature=shareThis year the students of 1st of Batxillerat, as a project for the English class, have dubbed part of  a film.
In order to do this, they have chosen the well-known movie Madagascar.  They have written their own story, inventing all the dialogues for the movie. And you can hear the voices of the students dubbing the characters, they do it amazingly well. During the first minutes of the video, you can see the students working and getting inspiration, and then you can see the movie and hear them!

Spelling Bee Contest!

Yesterday the classes of 3rd grade joined together to participate in the Spelling Bee Contest. We have been practising during all the course how to spell words just by listening to them, by the pronuciation.
At first, there was a group of more than twenty of us that passed the fisrt round, then half of us arrived to the semi-final, and in the end there were three of us that finally won.
The third place was for Alex Gracia, the second place for Berta Adelantado and the first place was for Carla Blasco.
We all did a great job spelling the words and we had a great time!!!

The Gingerbread Man

Last Thursday 1st and 2nd grade could assist to the story telling of The Gingerbread Man at the school.
This is the story of an old lady who once  made a ginger biscuit. The ginger biscuit came to life as a man and escaped. Wherever he went, all the animals wanted to trap him, but he was always quicker than them and he could always made his way to escape. However, one day he came across a very intellingent fox, and that day it was the end for the Gingerbread Man.

It was a great story!! We all understood it and enjoyed it a lot!!

Robin Hood play

Last Wednesday 3rd and 4th grade saw the Robin Hood play at the school. There was a first session for 3rd grade, and then another one for 4th grade.

We could listen to this story telling in English, some of us could participate in it and we all sang songs.

The story of Robin Hood is well known. Robin Hood and all his merry men take money from the rich and give it to the poor people. But there are other characters too, such as the character of kind Maid Mairon, who helps Robin Hood, or the mean and cruel Sheriff who tries to catch Robin Hood.
We all enjoyed it, understood it ... It was great!!
