Theatre at the school

Last Monday The Horror Show Drama play was at the school theatre for all the ESO students. All ESO students enjoyed of an English play with native English speakers, a great opportunity to practice their oral skills.

Project in 4th of ESO

These days 4th of ESO students are doing a video recording at the school as part of a project to be shared with a highschool in California. 

Science week

We are having the Science week in the ESO level and we are doing that with an English perspective and collaborating in the activity. See the photos.

Hello!
My name is Ben Heckler and I come from the USA. More specifically, I come from Portland, Oregon, which is a city in the northwest of the United States. After having completed my studies at Portland State University, I made up my mind that I wanted to travel and live in another country. So, in 2014 I came to Burgos, Spain as an English teacher. After a year abroad I was hooked. So the next year I continued to teach English, but this time in Madrid. Finally, after that year I moved again, and this time to Barcelona. I have been here since Summer of this year and I love it! I am excited to see how this year goes in Sant Josep Teresianes and what we can accomplish together!

Ben is at school

Good news again!!

We are proud to introduce Ben, the Language Assistant for ESO. He is at school from Oregon to help our students with their oral English and improve their knowledge of the language. In order to do this, he will be teaching English in split lessons in ESO classes.

From PBL to roleplay

These days ESO students have carried out from PBL to ropleplay activities in the English class, in order to practise the different uses of the future tenses in the English language.

Cooperative project

Last Monday 3rd of ESO students performed a show to Primary pupils with their puppets, puppets which had been made at the Technology classroom. We enjoyed a lot doing this cooperative project.

"The power from deserts"

In 2nd of ESO in the subject of Science the students have been reading an article called " The power from deserts" in English, as part of doing other topics  in different areas in English. This article has been taken to start studying about energy, and this is a good start to begin with.

Having fun at the theatre!

Last Monday  we all laughed so much watching a Blue Mango play at the school theatre. It was for all Secondary School, and we could practise our English in a more relaxed and entertaining way.

The Fonix English Contest

This year our school is attending The Fonix English Contest with secondary students. All the abilities are required for this contest, oral skills as well as comprehension and written skills. These are this year's representatives for the contest.

Dramatization

In 4th of Eso Drama students are working with Shakespeare's world. They have started to rehearse the Shakespeare play ADO About Nothing. Let's see how everything goes and here it is the photo of their rehearsals.

A fashion TV show

Fourth of  ESO students are very excited working in a “giving opinions” project. Since they love all the TV shows where people go through a make over, they have been proposed to film their own fashion show. 

We have got lots of artists around!

A Tour Guide

First of ESO students are involved in a very funny project. They have become tour guides for a day. They walk around our beautiful city and they record themselves showing us the most important monuments in town. 

What fun!!!

Cambridge Mock exams

Last Wednesday our ESO students took their Cambridge Mail Suite Mock exams at the school. The levels they were attending were KET, PET and FCE.

Hope they did really well !

Positive World Project

Second and third of ESO are working on a nice and interesting project called POSITIVE WORLD (+WORLD).

It consists of letting us know about people who have changed the world with their positive  and altruistic actions.

Some people deserve not to be forgotten!!!

Halloween performance!

Last Monday the students of 3rd and 4th of ESO prepared a Halloween performance as part of their subject of Drama at the school. It was an enterpreneurship students of ESO made for 3rd and 4th grade primary pupils, a show time having them as guests. They were all dressed up as different characters, and the stories and shows  they performed were in English.

We all had a great time!!
