Ben's presentation

Here it is Ben's presentation:
Hello!
My name is Ben Heckler and I come from the USA. More specifically, I come from Portland, Oregon, which is a city in the northwest of the United States. After having completed my studies at Portland State University, I made up my mind that I wanted to travel and live in another country. So, in 2014 I came to Burgos, Spain as an English teacher. After a year abroad I was hooked. So the next year I continued to teach English, but this time in Madrid. Finally, after that year I moved again, and this time to Barcelona. I have been here since Summer of this year and I love it! I am excited to see how this year goes in Sant Josep Teresianes and what we can accomplish together!

Let's know more about her!

Hello everyone,
I'm Josie the new native English teacher in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th ESO.
I'm English, from a town called Weymouth on the South coast of England.
I have lived in Barcelona for 2 years, and I love Spanish and Catalan culture.I hope the students will love English culture just as much.
I will be teaching 'desdoblament' classes for the entire school year, in order to improve speaking and listening skills. We will work on pronunciation and understanding, as well as vocabulary and conversation. I will give students the skills they need to prepare for the Cambridge KEY and PET exams.
I am looking forward to making great progress with all the ESO students in English this year.
See you around!

Congratulations Santa Teresa!

Last 15th October it was a very important day at our school.... Santa Teresa! And this year with renewed hopes, we walk to the fifth centenary of her birth!

We celebrated this event with many activities at the school. In the morning we prayed in the classes with a special time dedicated to her. Then, we prepared the classes, the corridors, and the playgrounds to record our LIPDUB, and after enjoying a longer time at the playground, everyone ready for ....

    3,2,1 action !!!! (You'll certainly enjoy it)

In the afternoon we carried out the activity called "Apadrinament", where students from 4th Primary to 3rd of ESO  gave as a present balloons to pupils from P3 to 3rd Primary, and they shared this time to talk or draw.
And later we all had chocolate and we danced!
It was a special day for everyone!

Dubbing in 1st of Batxillerat

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aNcOcf336k&list=UUjgz0AohXbizhsMR8CjuWkA&feature=shareThis year the students of 1st of Batxillerat, as a project for the English class, have dubbed part of  a film.
In order to do this, they have chosen the well-known movie Madagascar.  They have written their own story, inventing all the dialogues for the movie. And you can hear the voices of the students dubbing the characters, they do it amazingly well. During the first minutes of the video, you can see the students working and getting inspiration, and then you can see the movie and hear them!

In the morning the students of 2nd of ESO had made up and designed their own outfits, and they walked with  them wearing them as in a real Fashion Catwalk. They explained all the complements and clothes to us!

Story Telling
The students of 3rd of ESO  had prepared some tales and short stories to explain to the little ones of the school. They had a great time together!

The students of 4th and 1st of ESO gathered together to participate in the English Language Contest. They had to spell words and they had fun with it!

Magic Show
Then in the afternoon there was the Magic Show of Albert Llorens. All the show was in English, he showed us some nice and wonderful tricks, and some of us could also participate with him as helpers with his magic tricks. We understood a lot and had a really nice time with him!
