Josie's presentation!

Here below is Josie's presentation. She has joined the school as a Language Assistant in ESO.
Let's know more about her!

Hello everyone,
I'm Josie the new native English teacher in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th ESO.
I'm English, from a town called Weymouth on the South coast of England.
I have lived in Barcelona for 2 years, and I love Spanish and Catalan culture.I hope the students will love English culture just as much.
I will be teaching 'desdoblament' classes for the entire school year, in order to improve speaking and listening skills. We will work on pronunciation and understanding, as well as vocabulary and conversation. I will give students the skills they need to prepare for the Cambridge KEY and PET exams.
I am looking forward to making great progress with all the ESO students in English this year.
See you around!

Webquest in 6th grade

In 6th grade we have been doing a webquest in the English class called "Young Explorers Australia".
First we  had to find general information about this country , and then know more about two natural habitats and animals that can only be found in this island.
We have been using collaborative tools such as drive, and we have worked in groups to do the presentations. Then we made oral presentations of our works in the class and we could share the informations with our classmates.
Here are just two of our projects, and then a video of our oral expositions.

Webquest in 5th grade

During the third term in the English class we have been doing  a webquest in 5th grade.

" A new zoo has come to town" has been the webquest  for this year. In this webquest a few animals in the zoo are in danger of extiction, such as the koala, the giant panda, the polar bear ... and each group had to find information about the animal, make a description, its habitat and food, and finally proposals to save the species too.
In order to do so, we have been working in groups collaboratively , and we have used tools such as drive for the presentations.
Finally, we have made oral expositions in the class, sharing our projects with the rest of the class.
Below you can see just a few of our projects, and a video of our oral work.

The Lochness Monster!

Yesterday 3rd and 4th grade saw the play The Lochness Monter at the school.

This play is about Nessie, the monster of the Ness lake, who  has been living happily and peacefully in the lake for many years. But one day, a mad scientist, who wants to catch Nessie, has explained all about her and he is really crazy about finding her, being famous and rich thanks to Nessie.
The play was really entertaining and amusing. Some of the pupils could also participate,  either speaking, singing  or even wearing funny wigs, and there was a lot of interaction with everyone too.

They all understood it very well, and enjoyed it a lot!!!
